    Thanks for the feedback. I wouldn't say I need an absolutely color critical screen, however my main purpose for upgrading my monitor is for photo editing, so color accuracy is important. I suspect though that either the Dell or the NEC will be better than my current monitor.

    Wasserkool - Unfortunately, the new 2490 doesn't have the A-TW polarizer, like the old one. Snowdog - Good point. I actually liked my current TN panel (Samsung 225BW) until recently when the viewing angles started driving me crazy.
