I got to about 4.4, but the system would post and then get bsod. but the stable i got was 4.05 at about 1.3 vcore. stable. i think my ram will bottleneck, but the EPP or something states that it should be able to do 1000 mhz at 5-5-5-15 timings with 2.3v or something. i dont wanna overcook the...
Hi, max i hit was 425 fsb stable ie 4.05 ghz at 1.3 volts. have not bumped up anything but brought the ram voltage upto 2.1 that is below its rated 2.2, and increasing the cpu core voltage. I want to understand what the other voltage settings, mch, ich, vtt, etc do, and what do they tweak?
Hi i just bought an e8400 batch q814a241, hopin to oc it decently on my abit ix38 quadgt, got 2x1 gb Patriot ddr2 extreme ram (444-12 at 2.2, 800 mhz), and coolermaster hyper 212 with another 120mm fan going on in push pull. Do u think that ram will be a bottleneck to hit 500fsb? if i loosen...

Im running fsb 1:1 400 mhz, as the patriot is rated for 555-15 at 500 fsb with 2.2 v. right now im running them pretty normally at 1.9v, 444-12 timings at 400 mhz. i dont really understand straps, but could it be that my procy is the bottleneck here, as it just does not go above 400. Im going...
the ix38 hits like 500 fsb max.. unless you are on liquid or extreme cooling, also the pwms have a tendency to get hot. i cant post above 420 because my chip is a bottleneck here it seems. im running 400*8 at 1.4Vcore and the system runs pretty cool including the pwms, the pwms getting hot have...
