Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
It might not only reduce temps on OCed systems with heavier load and heat output, but my understanding this is also to cool and prolong the longevity of the PSU itself?
My PSU fan (SX-600) is the loudest in the system during low/medium load and you can feel it heating up quite fast during...
Nice, I like your cheap solution for reducing the temp 6 extra degrees!
Would you say that "ducting" all fans (both push and pull) would improve overall cooling efficiency?
I think that my PSU fan is the only one pulling air out of the case atm.
Beware, that Cougar-case seem to be a real piece of ****. Most reviews suggest the components (especially the GPU) are burning up due to lack of ventilation and air flow.
I have to admit, for that price tag it's intriguing to mod it to something useful though!
Very, very nice!
So to the obvious question: what are your results regarding temps from this?
EDIT: just read your prior post, good thinking! I'm going to put one fan pushing air into the top of the PSU and test a second above the CPU pulling out of the case.
Wow, that is absolutely beautiful, makes me proud as a fellow swede!
If that system board had TB2 or TB3 interface to accommodate an eGPU this would be ridiculously insane. Still, truly a work of art, thanks for sharing.
EDIT: Damn, the new Brix models are rocking i5/i7 skylake w/ thunderbolt 3...
I'm with you regarding OC and tweaking in general. Still it's interesting to me how this is the choice of chassis if one is looking OC (my expectations are very low here). What I feel is much more important when we speaking of tweaking is the ability to undervolt, undervolting the CPU and GPU...
Hi.
I'm not an expert on making reviews but I must say that this review is kind of poor. If you want compare cooler1 with cooler2 there should be some temp and sound levels comparison data table.
Also, why would you put in a super loud card such as the R9 Nano when the chassis is made for full...
What CPU fan are you going to use? (Assuming you're not going to let your CPU throttle when it's gaming time)
I'm using the Cryorig C7 for mine, waiting for a SSD replacement so I can only watch BIOS load atm :(
I think why he ask is because there aren't many progress updates of what going on, not saying we are in the right to demand such information. Personally I'd be very happy to see some small status updates here and there :)
Sure, I can take some pics when I come home (in maybe 9 hours).
Hi Dan!
My SSD was DoA so I only have BIOS temps to show :(
I expect to have it replaced in week or so, I guess you'll beat me to the punch
@dondan
This might have been asked before, but I didn't find anything:
Q: As an European, would I also have to wait for the kickstarter/indiegogo to end or would I be able to buy your chassis earlier?
Great job man, I'm really impressed by your design! It has all a gamer would want...
