Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
How did you run Win98 in 1997?
anyway, my favourite year of computing would have been 1995. Man. I had an insane Pentium 133MHz rig, based on the ALL NEW SOCKET 7! Talk about future upgrade capabilities! It had 32mb of RAM (Most puters then only had 8-16mb) It also had a 3 gig scuzzy drive...
It allows me to fully install Windows 98. I can even get on the net and everything, but with only 16 colors. As soon as I install the nvidia drivers, all I get is a blinking cursor.
I can even hear the Win98 loading off the hard drive, and then hear the Windows 98 Start-Up chime, but all I...
OK, while attempting to install XP for the tenth time, I noticed an error box pop up for a billionth of a second before it crashed. "Not enough virtual" I couldn't read the rest of it, but I'm guessing the next word would have been memory.
What do I do, oh 1337357 of the 1337?
A friend told me to try updating my BIOS. I did that just now--yay! My CPU is finally being detected as a P3!
But... still no luck with the GODDAMNED VIDEO!
I'll give anyone who gives me the the slightest hint of how to fix this a cookie! Please?
The mobo is a Soyo SY-6BA+

Yes, I plugged in the keyboard/mouse properly.
I'm trying to install Win XP on a P3-600/256mb machine, and can't get past the "34 minutes left" mark. It boots off the CD, formats the hard drive to NTFS, and copies the first files. It then restarts to "Pretty Mode" so that it can copy the rest of the files.
When it gets to the 34 minutes...
My first post ever on this [H]ard forum. Please take it easy on me, till I'm as 1337 as you guys are.
My first overclock was a 486-25 to 33MHz.
I then overclocked a 166mhz Pentium to 233mhz.
I've overclocked a whole bunch of K6-2s and PIIs
I overclocked an AMD 3000 to 2.94ghz
And a...
