Between the TF3 and Dual-X coolers which do you prefer? I know that the TF3 is great at keeping cards cool but does it still sound like a jet engine above 60% speed like the older versions?

Looking for a 7950 (or 7870) for particular needs

I don't plan on overclocking or water cooling ever. Am I missing something with the MSI 7950 Boost? It's listed as having lower base clock speeds than last year's OC version. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127667 If I don't plan on overclocking and water cooling...

Would you go with the Gigabyte 7950 Windforce 3 card over the Sapphire? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414 I've heard good things about WF3 and the warranty is longer.

550D has great flow but the case itself is innately a few degrees warmer because of the acoustical padding and me not having the top and side vents off. I use a standard 2 front 1 back fan config with Cougar Vortexes, Evo-212 with push to the back. Noise is a very important thing to me which is...

Looking for a 7950 (or 7870) for particular needs

I built this particular computer last October and decided to go with an Obsidian 550D for the case and a IceQ 7870 GHz for the video card. Within a few weeks it was apparent that the bearing on the 7870 was either not lubricated or the fan was off its axis slightly as it began to click. The...

    IceQ 7870 Fan Rattle

I take it you have never dealt with HIS tech support. I don't want to RMA the card which is exactly what they will tell me to do. If it's a un-lubricated bearing I would rather try and fix it myself. However I have no experience working with the radial blowers they use in the IceQ cards.

    IceQ 7870 Fan Rattle

I've had this card ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... ) since October of last year and within a week it started clicking. The clicking was very slow and on some days it wouldn't happen at all. About a month after that it got to the point where it would not only click...
