Holy moley, why is FFIV so demanding?

Don't have D3DOverider acive while running the bench mark though. It will destroy your score.

    Google Wussing Out To China?

China is essentially a business owned and managed by a corporation called the Chinese "Communist" party. So what business have we got telling them what they can and can't do; anymore than government has business telling any private corporation what it can and can't do on it's own property?

Scientists Say Test Could Predict Menopause

We need this test to be required in executive contracts. Apple went to shit when Jobs hit the menopause and started talking about "the magic".

    When will ATI have 3D?

There's a cheap (very) solution for 3d with any graphic card or display.

    Where is the Nvidia midrange?

Outside of the US (I'm currently overseas) it's just about impossible to find anything Nvidia between the 465 and the gts 250 (and even the gts 250s you can find are the lower clocked energy saving variety). The only real 2xx I could find was a 192 shader gtx 260.

Bill Gates' Very Full Life After Microsoft

The figure I saw was that only 15% of the very rich donate any appreciable amount (above a %) of their fortune. The majority (inherited wealth) prefer to spend their money on tax avoidance, lobbyists and think-tanks.

How Students Have Become Online Beggars

Hard work, but mostly luck. I was lucky in that I lived in an area with a lot of big companies and it was 'easy' to find a job during an upswing in the economy. Actually I'd say that being quick to learn and appearing competent (being able to reassure clients even when you're making it up...

How Students Have Become Online Beggars

Get a job and be personable. This is what worked for me. I ran out of money, ended up working full time for a year and my employer (the biggest networking company) was happy to pay my tuition no strings attached and not even a relevant degree. This does depend on your attending a good school.

Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft Are Still Breaking European Privacy Law

Europeans are still stuck with trial in a court of law. America has moved on. We are free to choose mandatory binding arbitration if we want a mobile phone or internet connection. Europeans still believe in so-called 'human rights'. Americans have learned nothing is a right if you can't...

Alleged Hacker Sought in US to Stay in UK For Now

Same here. Like I said as a conservative libertarian my only outlets in life are porn and the vicarious pleasure of seeing those who f-k with the system themselves get deservedly f-ked. I'm like one of those chimps who are either jacking off or shrieking in relief a chimp that isn't me is...

Washington to Require That 'Quiet' Cars Get Alert Sounds

And we should jack our absurd authoritarian jay walking laws.

Washington to Require That 'Quiet' Cars Get Alert Sounds

I don't see the problem. Just increase the burden of proof on the driver of a silent/quiet car in any accident.
