Been running a Antec Kuhler 920 since mid 2014 on a 4930K, knock on wood no issues till this day.
Also running a Corsair H80 (Gen 1) since 2013 on a 3770K and no problems there either.
No complaints here either :D
If case size is an issue I'd recommend going for this one: https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NH-U12A-Premium-High-Performance-NF-A12x25/dp/B07PG8F8DF
TechPowerUp did a review on it, seems decent for the size! Looking to pick one up too.
Corsair's H100i is a nice alternative if you are looking into...
It makes no sense how the 1060 6GB is $330 now. I remember buying mine from Micro Center for $250.
Granted if someone were selling the card used it should cost at least 180-200? No way $300 for a used one is a 'deal'.
Nice.
I forgot to mention that the cables that came with my card unfortunately had the L shaped end go the other way.
That ended up costing me a few inches of reach and had to go get another set of cables in order to reach the card.
I have a Dell R510 that came with the Perc 6/i. Ended up replacing it with the H700 which I got off eBay last year for 89 USD with cables and battery.
Running 3 arrays with one being SSD and the other having drives larger than 2TB, no issues. ESXi seems to be happy with it.
YMMV with cables...
From 2012 Intel were using TIM which many mentioned didn't do as good as a job as soldering.
Just looked up this article that mentions they are going back to solder for the 9th gen chips.
Curious to see if the stepping difference has an impact on heat.
Based on this photo there are two stepping numbers for the 9700K. Maybe one runs hotter?
Similar to the days of the Q6600, my G0 stepping overclocked from 2.4 to 3.2 like a champ while running cool.

This one is somewhat back to MSRP @ $799.
A buddy was keeping tabs on it and it hit $990 at peak.
Had the mining craze not occurred it could have come down to $600-650 for a new one?
A quick search into Google brought this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2nd-HDD-SSD-Hard-Drive-Caddy-Adapter-for-Asus-F555L-G551VW-N551VW-N552VW-FW055T-/252457709488
If you want to be sure it will work take out the CD drive and compare if the mounting/screw holes line up. There are photos on the page...
Finally I see someone with the same studio monitors as mine! Need to get a subwoofer for them but also got a pair of Genelec 8040B's here in the States and they sound amazing!
