Get a second GTX 660 or upgrade?

I'd say wait. I am myself running a 1080p display, and though it's definitely far fewer pixels to wrangle, I'm also seeing it become a bit dated. My plan is to buy a GTX 870 or equally appealing AMD card (though I want Shadowplay) when those come about. If the GTX 870 is 760-priced as rumoured...

What gpu company do you favor?

I've used five desktop GPUs in my personal or shared systems, all of them Nvidia. I didn't buy any but my most recent three myself, so I suppose I technically have not favoured either side. I'm waiting for the next generation to drop before upgrading. If the GTX 870 has a more enticing AMD...

    Need opinion 280X

I'd say trade both for a non-reference 290X. Performance is really good and it won't have Xfire issues. I don't know what you consider "needing an upgrade", but a 7950's got mileage still. Regardless, all of those cards will do well.

    Apple wants HTC's sloppy seconds!

I prefer the look (and microphone functionality) of my $60 Thermaltake Tt eSports headset to anything made under the Beats brand. Yeah, it's hard to be optimistic about this buy, considering the shared trait of way higher price for good build quality but not so much great capability on the part...

    Physx dedicated GPU

Many would say that it's simply not worth it, and for the most part I'd agree. But you say that you want to just try it. No harm in that, I suppose, if you've got the cash. Given the choice I might wait for a 750 Ti on sale and buy that; its low power consumption might be a nice thing to...

Reliable and longer lived video cards

That PSU should be able to drive a GTX 660 properly (well, mine does, and it's a 520W Compucase... thing). If you can get one of those instead of a 750 Ti for the same price, then I think it'd be worth the little bit of extra power. Mine is still holding its own at 1080p with a modest overclock...

    Need Help with picking GPU

The 660 can accommodate all of those games at the upper limits of their graphical options, except perhaps, as mentioned, newer Total War games in 1080p, with a second screen playing a video or stream (I do so regularly with most of the mentioned titles or those technically similar, in fact)...

Is Shadowplay worth using with an i7-3770?

The i7-3770 is a bit much for a rig using a 750 Ti or an R7 265. Of course, if you can get it at the same price or cheaper than an i5, then go for it, but with such a beefy chip you'd probably do best (and record better-looking gameplay) with a more powerful GPU, like an R9 280X or GTX 770. You...

What is the best video card I can get with my current CPU set up

Titanfall is a game that runs on the Source engine, or a modified version thereof. It's much more intensive than Team Fortress 2, but that's not saying much. You can probably run it with medium settings across the board, with perhaps a few sacrifices. I'd recommend getting a GTX 860 or the AMD...

GeForce GT 660 2GB for a fifteen hundred build too little?

Agreed with the others. 660's not a bad card, but there are better alternatives in its price range at this point, and for $1500 it's not worth it. The machine's other specs are quite sound, what with the liquid cooling for the CPU, the nice HDD and SSD combo that are really nice to have... but...

    Sell 3-290(x) for single 780ti

I had tons of fun, myself. Going to buy it, almost certainly. Runs on any system (and looks good. Love what they did with the Source Engine), which is pleasant. On-topic though, I think this is a pretty good idea, though if I were you and had some extra cash on hand, I'd make two of them into...

    GTX750Ti... wait a sec...

I wonder what this says about the Maxwell architecture in general. If this is merely the first implementation of this new architecture and we're already seeing these nice energy and mining numbers (beats my brother's 760 in mining, even), then I'm intrigued to see what more potent cards can do...

Is 8Gb of RAM enough for all games?

The only game I know of that's planned to utilize 8GB of RAM (and no less, so they say, so more might not be such a bad idea for it) is Star Citizen/Squadron 42, and even then it'll probably run with less if you don't do anything else while running it, but there's no way to tell at this point...

What video card has served you the longest before upgrading?

Until 2010 I was using an ASUS V9520 MAGIC, AKA GeForce FX 5200. Got the computer from my dad in 2007, I believe, and he had been using it since, oh, 2004? Noticed I really needed an upgrade when it wouldn't run StarCraft II at decent framerates and Oblivion just flat out refused to work, which...

AMD Mining Devices Making Millionaires Worldwide

I'm trying just a novice setup mining digitalcoins with my 660 (reverted to stock clocks because it seemed to deter performance). Tried doing with my processor (which did 35 khash/s) but that gave it higher temps than Prime95 gave it (I really need to get a better cooler than this Intel thing)...
