As far as I know, there is no reason a crossfire setup will not work with an Nforce sli board. The main culprit is the drivers, I believe a different driver would be needed to have both cards communicate with each other through the nforce chipset. Hopefully sooner, rather than later something...
The short answer would be yes. Assuming the "anything' you wish to do is gaming. Although you might not have really high resolutions and high FSAA or AF in newer games.
But I would say, you'd have a decent gaming experience, with current games.
It's most likely be the WDM Integrated Drivers, for VIVO functions. And unless you use these functions, it's not likely to effect any of your gaming performance.

Hope that helps.
It is not odd, as I refer you to their benchmarks . As I don't have a PCIe machine at the moment. But the FireGL V7100 is spec'd to be a pci-express card with 16 pipes. And it performs comparable with the 12 piped AGP version. They also cost the same. So they are making a high end $1100...
Try the ATI Displays tab, and click on your monitor and there should be an option for refresh rate override, in which you could set what ever refresh rate you want. It works both for opengl and directx.
Hope that helps.
If their benchmarks are legit, why would you question the fact that the "XTPE just doesn't beat the 6800U quite as bad in farcry". Does that imply that their benchmarks aren't legit?
You initially mentioned that you can show either card in the lead based on what drivers and what levels of what...
What exactly is it about their review process you find faulty? And if the results were different and favored the video card you want to perform much better, would the review process still be faulty? Do you feel that there can only be one legitimate review, or for that matter only one review...
I didn't mean anything bout it, and far from being offended, it was just a little amusing, like you said. It's been nonstop ATI/Nvidia bashing/criticizing and general people trying to convert one another on which is better.
What card are you using at the moment? I mean, if you aren't...
You want everyone here to "fight it out" to what card for you to buy? Interesting concept ;)
You could check Newegg and see the prices and cards you could afford. With a ceiling of $100, there should be some cards for you to get. With taxes and shipping, I think a 9600se, 9200se are among...
I know, that's why. I wrote "Oh wait" :p I guess people tend to forget that at one point in time, Nvidia were losing. And like them or hate them, they did not give up. So anyone in their right minds, think that once a company is losing, they should just take their ball, and look into the...
I don't understand why people would want someone they percieve to be losing to give up? "We lost this round, but instead of wasting money and time on a new series, we'll put it towards R&D for the next generation." So if the tables were turned, if this were true that is, that if Nvidia were to...
