I only buy monitors when there is a free return policy with no restocking fee. For Newegg, this is "Iron Egg Guarantee" and was under effect when I bought mine. I was refunded the full price and wasn't charged a fee so kudos to Newegg.

I tried to overlook the flaws. I really did. But when you have flashing/flickering like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9U-RvS2Nik You just can't overlook it. (Shows flickering in Google Earth, Titan Quest, and C&C Tiberium Alliances - also happens in Skyrim and BF4 and who knows what else)

In the additional week I've had it, I've run into the flicker issue more and more. I can now reproduce flicker in: Shaksgam Valley, Google Earth Skyrim Titan Quest C&C Tiberium Alliances Battlefield 4 Some are worse than others but it's pretty infuriating. Monitor is going to go back.

I used several different video cards including a AMD R280X, R290, Intel 3000, and nVidia 970 (as well as trying DVI-D, HDMI, and DisplayPort). All exhibit the problem, indicating it is a problem with the monitor.

Found a browser game that works well to reproduce flickering when scrolling/zooming on the overworld map. C&C Tiberium Alliances (can make free account/use Origin account to test this). Flickers like crazy on certain portions of the world map where there is a lot of light-colored patterns. I...

Just an update: I lowered contrast from 50 to 42 and now I get zero "flashing" in the areas I previously did (except the dead pixel test, but that causes all manner of screwiness on other LCDs in my house I've tested and is not unique to the BenQ). Any amount of scrolling/zooming in...

I've got Skyrim so I can see if that gives me troubles. Was there a particular area or did it occur across the board?
