The iPhone 4S is just playing catch up... Siri is an improvement to an already existing funtionality. Its Apples way of adding "magic", taking something that exists, and tries to perfect it.
There arent any hardware changes that are significant. I've owned a Motorolla Atrix since June, dual...
Actually, often times when the new "30% More" packaging comes out, and there is still some old ones left over, the claims are true. You can compare the new and the old package and see that there is an increase in volume of the packaging. I have seen it on shampoo bottles, as well bottles of...
From Canada Computers, you can buy a Zotac 9600GT for $126.99 CD instead of spending another 126US to buy an overclocking device to squeeze a tiny lil more performance, you can buy a 9800GTX AMP edition for $221.99
So i personally see no point in buying a device that costs me 126 to get a...
Technically it isnt. Cuz there is no way intel can prove or disprove that u r not using stock heatsink nor can they prove that u've been overclocking. the CPU itself holds no settings. and i dont think using an aftermarket cooler voids ur warranty watsoever.
my 2 cents
I personally wouldnt lap the chip....it completely voids the warranty. But i am planning on lapping the heat sink soon! after im done my exams. im running my CPU @ 453x8, with an effective FSB of 1812Mhz
that is a bit high for my likings too!! Wat i did was bought the CoolerMaster Hyper 212, it was about $36 canadian, and added a second 120mm fan (antec LED fan, not expensive) and my idle temps using Core Temps, is 42-45 idle, and 45-56 gaming, and 56-64 while encoding. I used OCZ thermal Paste...
Im using the ASUS P5E, which is basically the vanilla version of the Maximus Formula. Ur CPU Vcore is a bit Low.... i have mine set to 1.46 to get it stable @ 3.6
453*8 its also stable at 400*9, less stress on the ram, but once again, Vcore of 1.46
My CPU is the Stepping B Revision G0...
I have the Same CPU, Stepping B G0, running it on a ASUS P5E.
CPU ratio 8x
FSB 453
cpu voltage 1.46
ram voltage 2.14
RAM ratio set to 333 but running at 1068 ( or close to it, ive only seen this on this board)
using OCZ REAPER 2x 2GB 6400
heres the CPU-Validation...
I bought the Cooler Master Hyper 212, comes with a 120mm fan, i added on an additional 120mm fan, and the quad 6600 ran 24degrees stock, and 33 OC to 3.6, Primed all 4 cores for 15 hours and max temp was 64 to the core, which is about 54 to the cpu.
its about 32-35 dollars and under 10 for...
Hey everyone, i've been a long time member but rarely post. i read the forums all the time tho.

Just got the 900 today....amazing case, so simple to work with, so simple in design, air flow is amazing too!! 200MM fan owns.....and theres a place for me to put my SLVR as i charge it :)
Oh ya, there is a huge difference between the P5WD2 series and the low end P5P800-VM im using. So i can imagin that with a better set up, you will be able to overclock much better than what i did, guarenteed!!
