Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
450MB/s on two ports with 10 disks, that's one 25GB blu-ray in less than 1 minute. 250MB/s per port.

Rosewill RC218. PCIe x4. I got 450MB/s using two external ports. I saw one review (sonnet e4p, same chipset) claimed ~900MB/s using all four sata ports with 20 hard disks in four enclosures.
If you want to go with PCIex1, any cheap Sil3132 based card will do, which limits you to 125MB/s.
update on the SAS expander with HP P212.
The P212 I have is the /ZM version, w/o any cache memory. I can't use the expander with P212/ZM as HPACU crapped out with "expander ... require memory module".
I can't use P212/ZM to flash the firmware of expander either. Please update the first post...
can you take a second look? A bigger one:
I also write to IEI tech support to ask the following questions:
1) Looks like the PCIe X4 is open-ended. Is that true?
2) Is the PWRGD on Pin 11-A of PCIex4 connect to the ATX Pin8 PWRGD or to the backplane?
Also bigger one for PICMG 1.3 board:
Do you guys think this will work?
