Oh I'm aware of the progressiveness of trek, but MOST of the episodes in all the series up to Enterprise were subtle and more thought provoking rather than "LOOK AT ME! THINK LIKE ME! AREN'T I AWESOME? DON'T YOU DARE THINK FOR YOURSELF" that a lot of shows, movies, etc. are starting to show.
Hope this show isn't too "woke". That is a cancer appearing in many shows/movies/games lately that needs to stop as it jarringly pulls the viewer out of any sense of realism.
That said, this is Jean-Luc-Freakin-Picard so I may plow through it anyway.
The game is good fun, but I'm waiting until I can play with a larger team. It's difficult to play when you have 3 or 4 friends that want to do some matches and you have to pick one because you can't do more than two at a time...
The game doesn't have the player base of other games though, and...
Grim Dawn is a fantastic game, but don't waste your time with Wolcen. That game has been in alpha for the last 5 years and it shows no signs of ever leaving alpha. They have remade the alpha several times, it's pretty much the Star Citizen of action RPGS.
I've read it can connect to battlenet. There is some confusing info out there.

Works to a point. If you are going to be without internet for an extended number of days though, it won't let you play your games. You have to log in once every two weeks for a minute or two in order to keep using offline mode (at least, that's how it was a couple years back).
Actually it seems they are mostly firing sales, marketing, and administrative positions while hiring 20% more devs. That's a decent way to go, focusing on candy crush is not though.
I think I was one of maybe three people that actually liked Rage (though I never finished it). I may pick this up when it goes on sale (assuming it will release at a $40+ price point). If it releases at $30, I may buy it day one.
"Amusingly, Respawn revealed EA ""had no hand" in Apex Legends’ development"
Well, EA's "hands off" approach is about to change now that Apex is making money...
People are finally getting tired of paying $1000+ every year to change their cellphones. Hell, I only change my phone when my other one breaks. Phones are just too damn expensive now.
