Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks guys! My price range is pretty much $399 or less.... but I'd prefer $375 range. Screen size would probably be 15.6" or 14.0. The ultrabooks are too small.
I've been eyeing an Inspiron 15 for $399, but I wanted to check to see if I could potentially find a better model refurbished.

I have the AX1800... mine does not have coil whine, but I did have another unit that had horrible coil whine (it was RMA'd shortly after I got it) Corsair was great and they sent me a replacement before I even sent the PSU out to them. You should try getting in touch with them.
Thanks for the sympathy and backup advice. I've never used those... but now I'm definitely considering in the future. I actually had most of my important stuff on other drives... its just the nightmare of reinstalling programs and preferences... and updating, etc. That is the big hassle for me.
Well... after hours and hours of trying to figure this one out, i finally gave in and reinstalled Windows. I got stuck in a startup infinite loop and I tried many things to get it back to the desktop. Nothing worked and I finally said screw it.

I also just found this link which I may try. This page describes all the issues I've encountered.

I was looking into getting a Dell U2412M as a secondary monitor. I was wondering if anyone has had experiences with Dell refurbished models. Does it mean I'm likely to get a monitor that's been sent back because of dead pixels? Would I really be playing the monitor lottery?
Just looking...
