since you mention your cs6 work I would definitely go 8320
that is what I use and when I am doing photo editing, all 8 cores are loaded and it works great.. plus it doesnt cost that much more than the 6350
honestly, that is the only place I notice the upgrade from my Phen 2 965 overclocked...

I knew that ssd's benefited from ahci, but do mechanical drives benefit as well?

the 965 oc's well in most cases.. you can probably just change the multiplier and get to 4.0, that is what I did when I had mine

thats the board I have and I like it, but if you are already at 3.9 I wouldnt spend the money to upgrade..
you may be able to push it a few hundred mhz higher, but your bang for the buck factor goes right out the window at that point.. if you get 400mhz more is it worth the 105? I dont...

I didnt think the 965 was holding me back in gaming, but I had the upgrade bug and was able to get the 8320 for $140 @ microcenter and then I used the 965 to upgrade my sons...
