Hi all, I'm currently using an old 40" sony hdtv as my PC monitor and I love it (can't ever go back to a smaller screen now), but...
I've been wanting to upgrade to something of the same size, but with the following:
true 120hz
low input lag / response time
1080p (don't care for 4k...
Will take some pics next time I fiddle with it, basically back to using my Sony 40" HDTV as the image quality is far superior at 1080p (sadly no 120hz tho)
:/
I had it displaying the full res AAAAxBBBB @ blah for ages... still can't get above 30hz to look as good as the 30hz does.. i mean its almost like when at 30hz it is running a different pixel format and what not, looks so good :/
If anyone can work out how to get the display to look how it does at 1080p@30hz when using 1080p@120hz, I will love you forever :)
Currently something weird is happening and at 30hz everything looks as you would expect, great crisp text, great colors etc... but going above that and weird shit...
So I put the 50" firmware on my 39" and indeed the 120hz works at 1080p (yay)
However, I still have the issue where the text and colors do not look right :(
For example, if I set it to 1080p @ 30hz, everything looks AMAZING, text is very crisp, colors brightness etc are perfect... if I change...
Actually in my testing I was able to get certain resolutions to fill just the pixels they use, so a small window basically, then I scaled it via amd control centre (maintain aspect setting) and it looked great when doing this... but that setting is greyed out at anything over 30hz for me :(
