Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks Silverback that worked. But now I have encountered the infinite ammo bug. I read that installing a mod will fix this but I would like to keep the default weapon and ai values because I haven't finished the game yet or at least as close as I can as possible. Do you have any recomendations...
I would like to know too. I read somewhere on another board that you have to use the beta 1.4 patch. I haven't tried that yet but I have tried the latest and the 69.94 drivers and they both produce a "wall hack" effect with the walls disapearing with HDR enabled. Far cry was the first game that...
Theres a 9% difference between the 320 and 640 versions at 1600x1200 HDR in oblivion.

If your system is pcie you will have less power requirements because the card will be able to pull up to 75 watts from the motherboard. AGP can only pull less then 12 from the motherboard (and 3.3 volt line).
Ok well it just sounds like your friend doens't know whats best for him. Not a bid deal. Most people don't unless they spend three days reading reviews before they buy a new system (if they haven't been following hardware). Vram is more important know then before but pure processing speed/power...
Ati has terrible drivers and monitor detection. I have owned three different x1950pro video cards from two different manufacturers trying to ge them to work with my monitors. Acer2216wbd isn't even detected at all after the drivers load. 21" trinitron is detected as an LCD and doesn't work. Only...
Perhaps you need to read this review at toms hardware that shows no difference between pci-e and agp 4x & 8x even at high resolutions with FEAR with 4aa 8af. In many cases both agp platforms performed ahead of the pcie versions...
Are you using low latencies like cas 2? Mine are a little slower cause I have to run at cas 2.5. I will repeat your test on my system after my rmaed replacement gets here.
Well for on the x1950pro uses less energy than the other two because it is the only one of the three that is built on an 80nm tech. For the other differences do a web search for benchmarks and number of pipes etc.
Will it damage the card if the voltage is set above 1.5 volts at the agp slot (i believe it draws power from the 3.3 or 5v line)? I wonder if the card uses less 12v with the agp voltage being turned up or are the bios settings not really doing anything because agp 3.0 is .8 volts?
I get the blank screen and the monitor loses the signal and turns off after the driver loads. This occurs with the visiontek and the sapphire x1950pro agp cards. It occurs on the acer 2216wbd and hp p1110 (sony trinitron crt) but they work with a sony 420gs. The weird thing is that I bought the...
