Someone inside AMD said their first patch of displayport adapters (specifically the HDMI ones - but maybe other ones as well) were defective. They didnt tell anyone outside of their company apparently because hardware vendors don't seem to know about this either. 10 to 1 I bet most people...- heartspeace

I went over the details with gigabyte and asus - and both claim the card itself is supposedly fine and shouldn't do this... which either there are a ton of bad cards out there, the hardware design itself was/is flawed, driver issues, or bios issues. Nope - still got it once so far after doing it - its better, but it still seems like the card is not putting out enough voltage to keep a signal level to a lot of monitors / HDTV's. This problem is all over the internet - but AMD is not responding.- heartspeace

I was watching the monitor/hdmi based (large high end hidef tv) and the screen went black with the 10.9 drivers (seems much better then anything before - the 10.9) - but this time it stayed black the second time it went black. Ok some things. 10.7 and 10.8 drives definitely make this problem worse. AMD says their engineering dept is working on it but have no clues as to a release. 10.6 after driversweeper and clear install with proper reboots helps for some. Gigabyte doesn't have later bios than AMD has and is...- heartspeace

Asus P6x58D Premium. No raid for the Marval SATA 6GB?
Is there even a way to boot ONE drive off of these ports? I thought at least with raid microsoft raid could go and do this... but apparently that isnt possible from what I read on the other forums. Windows 2008 R2 Integration with Free BSD /ZFS need help/advice.
Sigh. Apparently FreeBSD does like the hardware just not so much AMD hardware, which is what I have. It amazes me that FreeBSD is basically like Linux was 10-15 years ago in terms of hardware support etc. Even reading their web page talking about zip drives...
