    Silverstone SG05 in white?

If your SG05 doesn't come with USB 3.0, you can upgrade it with this: http://www.aerocooler.com/shop.cart?action=ITEM&prod_id=CASSG11303260

    Silverstone SST-FT03-Mini (Mini-Itx)

    1. Can somebody link me to a slot-load slim DVD-RW drive? I think the post was referring to this drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106031 but it has been discontinued, and I don't see another product on Newegg. 2. I am curious about what the cables for this case...

    Silverstone SST-FT03-Mini (Mini-Itx)

The case is basically a vertical version of the SG05/SG06. I don't know what the final pricing will be, but in a Hexus video interview, Tony said around $130, and in the Chiphell article, somebody wrote in the comments that the price was RMB 999, which is around $160. Right now you can get...

    Silverstone SST-FT03-Mini (Mini-Itx)

Thanks for the link. The review says that the PSU is not shipping with the case. I find that surprising since it needs an SFX PSU and Silverstone usually includes those (especially since there are not that many other options on the market). However I guess this way anybody who wants a 450W...

    Silverstone SST-FT03-Mini (Mini-Itx)

I'm confused by some of the earlier posts. Is the final case going to come in the silver finish (as in the picture), or will it come in black (with other colors on a wait-and-see basis)? I would really like a silver/white/anything but black case. Maybe I will just get a white SG05 instead...

    New Noctua Low Profile Cooler

Very interesting design. Here is the product page: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=46&lng=en&set=1 The height is 93 mm with dual fans, and 66 mm with a single fan.

Dead Silent fan for my Samuel 17 - which one?

Any of the fans recommended by Silent PC Review should be fine: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1040-page3.html I've had good results with the Nexus Real Silent (if you have the space for a normal fan) and the Scythe Slip Stream Slim (if you have limited space).

Lian Li's SFF cases from CES 2012

I can't tell from the pictures, but is the PC-Q15 supposed to be like Lian Li's version of the SG05/SG06, but with only a single slot GPU? Is that a tray for a full-size optical drive? And what about CPU cooler clearance -- it looks like there is a lot of stuff hanging above the motherboard.

    80x80x15mm fan suggestions

I am not familiar with that specific SilenX fan. However I generally find that the SilenX fans move too little air and are louder than they claim (or have a more noticeable sound signature). Is your fan speed adjustable and/or do you have the fan speed adjustments properly set up? Many...

    Shuttle XPC Mainboard Replacement

It is proprietary. You have some options, but they are not great. Old Shuttles frequently have problems with bad capacitors. Check out http://www.badcaps.net/ for more info. If you know how to use a soldering iron, or know somebody who does, take a look. It could be a quick and cheap fix. You...

    Silverstone SG08 @ Computex

They give you more flexibility because they are larger. The volume of SG08 is 14.8 L, which is already very large for a mini-ITX case. The volume of the Q11 is 17L. The volume of the Q08 is 21.3L which is almost a micro-ATX case. It just depends what you're looking for in your SFF system...

Shuttle power on problems - testing/dealing with Shuttle proprietary PS

It's very easy to test a PSU. Use the paper clip trick: http://www.overclock.net/faqs/96712-how-jump-start-power-supply-psu.html I guess this assumes that your Shuttle PSU has a standard ATX connector. All of mine do, but I don't have a SN25P. I'm almost certain it's bad capacitors on the...

    New/Upcoming Blackberry Questions

The 9900 is thinner and larger but it is not lighter; it will actually be a little heavier than the 9780. The 9780 keyboard is pretty good, but with the larger size of the 9900, maybe they will bring back the larger keys from the 9000 which I preferred. I don't think the speed is a selling...

    New/Upcoming Blackberry Questions

If you want a Blackberry that is a Blackberry, I would go with the Bold 9780 now. I don't think the 9900 offers anything compelling for a typical Blackberry user. Worst case, it will be buggy with random annoying issues. RIM is not too great with their first-release models (I have used Bold...

    Building A PC in Japan

I visited Fukuoka earlier this year. There is a Dospara near the Hakata JR station (close to the Yodobashi I think). They specialize in system building components, although I found the store small and the selection rather lacking. The components section of Yodobashi is a little better than...
