Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Ist the corner glow still visible if you look at the picture (at a usual angle) with the brightness set to 30% (shoud be about 140cd/m2)? Or 60% (should be about 200cd/m2)?
Great picture, BTW! Right now I'm looking at it on a Samsung SyncMaster 943T and the color shift looks just awful. ;-)
If TFT is a flawed tech, what are people supposed to buy instead? There are exactly 2 choices:
1. Buy CRT monitors.
2. Do not buy any monitors at all.
Neither is a good choice. I don't believe, such a movement will be very successful. BTW, I'm writing this message sitting behind a CRT...
Unfortunately, there is another disadvantage of 30" Eizos: they come with fans built in. This may be a problem for some users. I put much effort to make my computer almost silent and don't want to spoil it by a noisy monitor.
I considered Eizo SX3031W even before the NEC was announced, but...
I can't see any significant glow here except for Picture 4, which is at extreme angle. That would not bother me that much.
Your review only shows the glow at extreme angles. I'm refering to the glow at the corners while looking at right angle, like other people mentioned on this thread.
Can someone post a picture illustrating that glow? I was considering the 30" NEC, but this glow makes me cautious, because I use dark background very frequently. It's strange that none of the reviews mentioned it. Unfortunately I don't know any local shop where I could see this monitor myself.
