    HP Omen 32" QHD Monitor - 2560x1440, 5ms, 75Hz freesync, VA panel

update: I received my monitor several days ago, hoping to replace a Dell U2412M. I have them side by side, so here's what I see: -Blacks are very clearly more black on the Omen. Movies are a big improvement! -There's less bleed on the Omen. -Omen has those vertical-line-thingies when looking...

    HP Omen 32" QHD Monitor - 2560x1440, 5ms, 75Hz freesync, VA panel

I just ordered one of these for the equivalent of 480 $. Now switching to "praying the panel turns out good" mode... I've never had a VA monitor before, and I can't stand IPS anymore. If this won't suit me either I might as well figure a way to go back to CRT until OLED prices drop :)

    HP Omen 32" QHD Monitor - 2560x1440, 5ms, 75Hz freesync, VA panel

Omen owners, how far do you sit from the monitor? I'm thinking of buying one, but I really need some first hand info. I currently sit 24 inches / 60 cm away from a 24'' 1920x1200 monitor. I thought 32'' would be too big for my desk so I plugged in a 32'' TV for a couple of hours and only really...

    27'' 1440p or 4K for work?

It's just that kind of thing that makes it risky. You would think 4K should scale better to 1080 in general, right? Cool, just what I wanted to know. Do you think pixel-y gaming is because it doesn't scale well or because 1080p is just too low a resolution for 28' anyway'? I can believe...

    27'' 1440p or 4K for work?

Hi everyone! I've been using my U2412M for ages now and figured it's time for a change. My specific situation is that I like big text/icons/etc. so even though the monitor is 24'' 1920x1200 with 94 ppi I'm still scaling windows to 124% (looks better in a lot of apps than 125 for some reason)...

    Dell U2412M

I know exactly what you mean, I've been there :) Appliances should be made to serve our purposes optimally, not glow in the dark and distract... what's next? Every piece of furniture will play its own little melody by default? lol

    Dell U2412M

As a non-native speaker I half-understood you there but thank you anyway! :D I find this 24" to be a bit too much already, I mean: I have to push it backwards a bit so it does not occupy my periferal vision (which tires me) and I imagine I'd have to push 27", not to mention 30" monsters a lot...

    Dell U2412M

A 27'' on 1920x1080? What's that used for? I like the design on that thing, I find this Dell to be a bit on the ugly side. I must say though that I don't know why you're getting eyestrain. I had a lot of it on my previous monitor and now with Dell I have none.

    Dell U2412M

    1. Why? It's an image, not a virus :) If you want to see it and it does not fit onto your screen completely you can always zoom out temporarily - or just ignore it completely if you don't. Other than visual size the image is quite small. 2. Thanks! Found that one... was thinking maybe there's a...

    Dell U2412M

Hello good people :) I've read some of this topic and as interesting as it is I don't have time for all the pages so I'd like to ask some questions that probably have been answered already, for which I apologize in advance. I just bought this monitor and I have some questions and would be...
