Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
A shame. I fondly recall rocking three Galaxy 480 GTXs in SLI circa 2010. The Galaxy models were the only ones I could find in stock at launch. That rig was an absolute furnace, but extremely fun to play with.
More recently, I had a Galax 4080 HOF that was a superb design.
The 5080 is not worth the money, in my view, when compared with what 9070 XT offers. However, if you have the money, and you value ray tracing and path tracing, it's a valid choice.
The $400 difference in price is still enough to make even a rich man sick.
Same exact situation and assessment here. Performance above the 9070xt is right at the the precipice of diminishing returns. I love my 5090, but my 9070xt gave me 90% the same experience... for nearly 1/4 the cost. Conversely put, paying nearly 4x the price for a card that delivers 10%...
Definitely a 9/10 for me. I really enjoyed the first one, but KCD2 is bigger, better and tighter. It gets pretty much everything right for a 1st-person RPG. I don't have much more to state than you outline. It looks staggeringly good with everything cranked on my 5090.
I've been to a few...
Agreed. I had five AM4 DDR4 builds with not a single issue. Of the three AM5 builds (different mobos)... Two had the long mem training cycle issue, the last completely inoperable.
I've been building for 30+ years now and never saw memory compatibility issues like I've seen with DDR5. I would...
I would need to bent cables considerably to fit the panel on -- not worth the risk. I've got a Corsair 4000D which I consider pretty big. I suppose I could get one of those fat-boy cases, but call me old fashioned, I think a proper desktop PC is rectangular, not square.
I've "bought" (rented) a few games on accounts over the years. They're normally good for a month or two, you can't really use them with online games, and it's a crap shoot if they'll work after that. It's a somewhat viable option to effectively play a demo (since "demos" aren't really a thing...
No and extremely little.
AMD marketing is frotting their greasy little hands at the fact that 9800X3D owners are even posing this question. Please let's stop the madness.
There's also no reason to spend $150 to replace a perfectly good 5 year-old PSU because nV and PSU companies colluded to change to a negative net-gain "feature".
I have a relatively little-used ROG Thor 1200w that is using the 4x PCI-E 8-pin to 12v-2x6 on this same Zotac 5090. Works just fine...
Last of Us is a prime example that a good amount of ire people level on "woke" games is not due to assinine predjudice (although this is certainly the case for some). Most people's distate is more due to "woke" stuff being shoehorned in an already bad game for the sake of soapboxing. Make a...
This continues to be my take on EVGA leaving the market. Founder and exec basically said they're done with nV's shit and they yeeted out. They foresaw the dynamic that was coming and decided they didn't want to operate like that. Much respect to them. And by all accounts, the employees were...
Fantastic game. I've gone back for multiple repeat play through over the years and there's always something new to find. And it still looks fantastic, especially Prague city areas.
Going back to HL2 in anticipation for the pending announcement. It's been so long since I've played it, originally installing from disk. I was surprised to see I have "0 hours" on my steam license, so must have picked it up there in a bundle at some point and never run it.
