    I would suspect the 7800GTX OC is the the thing overheating, it is notorious for running at 70+ celcius, and that's on stock.

    I would never upgrade to a beta BIOS, + Asus w-site says only upgrade to the 1409 if you are experiencing trouble with something (I can't remember what), but it was something pretty small, you should read the descriptions b4 upgrading.
