Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks. The problem I have is that when I insert the CPU cooler screws into the motherboard there is some play that would let the cooler shift around. There is supposed to be a metal piece inserted between those screws to remove the play, but it doesn't fit.
Please see this photo for what I...
I just got a 6700K with a Asus Maximums VIII Hero motherboard and CoolerMaster HAF 932 case. It somehow seems as if the components don't fit together right.
There is the metal plate inside the case that the motherboard attaches to, right? It has a square hole that is supposed to be where the...
Thanks, but that did not work (still element not found).
Also, before I started using Win8PE, when I was wanting to run Windows repair somehow my main HDD is now no longer detected as a boot device ARGH.
Thanks. After the third command it asks me if I want to make the drive active. If I say yes, then it says element not found.
On the 4th command it also says element not found.
I used Macrium Reflect to clone my Windows 10 HDD. If I try to start with the cloned HDD (same computer, same cable connection, original HDD disconnected) Windows does not boot. It instead gives me an error about the Windows installation.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
I have had the BenQ FP241W for a long time (ca. 9 years) but it is starting to suffer from image retention. This was a wonderful monitor. I am trying to find something to replace it.
What I like about my current screen:
1) Excellent colors
2) Non-reflective screen
3) Reliable - used daily for 9...

I have a computer now (COMP 1) and I would like to switch its original 1 TB drive to my new rig (COMP 2), but also clone to a 500 GB drive for continued use on COMP 1. I have Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.
1) What is the easiest, free way to clone? Any way to clone within Windows 10 without...

Hi,
I haven't dealt with upgrading my CPU in a long time. I currently have an i7 930 2.8 GhZ OC'ed to 3.8 GHz with a single Geforce 770 and 8 GB of RAM.
I would like to upgrade to an i7-6700K as a base.
What are some good mid-range mobos that I should be looking at? I don't need...
I have this hard drive:

Is there any performance benefit to connecting it via the 6 GB SATA cable rather than the standard cable to a mobo that supports 6 GB?
Okay thanks for the triple buffering info.
It turns out nVidia control panel triple buffering only applies to OpenGL games. I downloaded RivaTuner and ran D3DOverrider.exe in the tools directory and now I have v-sync without the irratic frame rate changes.
