I have a 632. The power cable you have is only for the backlight. The panel is actually powered via the serial port. The back light only comes on briefly during POST and then again when the software actually loads. The Panel can function and display Characters with out the back light power... -

Another Vote for ZipZoomFly. I've been ordering from them for a long while without any Issues. They Used to be called Google Gear. I think Google got a little upset at them though. Hans -

Hehe ... I understand. Side Note: the Silver Viewsonic really isn't too bad. only the front bezel is silver. the stand and the back of the display are still black. Also I wonder why the Silver has a manufacture rebate but the black doesn't. I'm going to send in the rebate form anyway, won't... -

I got mine from zipzoomfly two weeks ago. Free 2nd day shipping and no Tax, but I see they are also out of stock currently. Compusa has the VP171S. (Same monitor but silver) for $599.00 with $100.00 mail in rebate. it says instock on their web site. Hans -

Another Question :) - NEC LCD1760v-bk 17" Good/Bad/Ugly?
I just bought two of them for work. The colors are vivid and picture is sharp. I don't really like the Stand (no Height or Swivel adjustment) as far as aesthetics go, it's kind of "plain Jane". There are other more attractive Monitors. (My Opinion) No DVI/Digital Input. I would buy/own one if I... -

NEC 1760NX LCD questions
It doesn't have a Digital/DVI input at all and it's not as bright as the 1760nx or VP171b. (250cd vs 260cd) Stand is not height adjustable. Hans -

NEC 1760NX LCD questions
I sold my Dell 19" P991 and replaced it with the Viewsonic for my secondary workstation. I 've played BF1942 and Call of duty on it as well as watched Fast & Furious and Goldeneye without issue. The image is Bright & Clear and Colors are Vivid. I'm very pleased so far. I'm sure you will be too... -

Dual Display........
It's part of the driver suite for an Nvidia card. It's called Nview. you can have it duplicate/Clone the desktop or be an extension of the desktop. you can even have different resolutions and refresh rate for each monitor. I'm Sure ATI has the same thing. Just look through the display's... -

Couldn't be more happy with my Viewsonic vp171b
