Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Has this TIM roundup happened yet? I missed it if it did. If it hasn't and is still going to happen I have a few ideas from looking around for a new TIM myself lately.
First, some general comments. From what I've seen in forums around the web, there are many unofficial consensuses that...
Netflix.com - Use the Watch instantly menu to browse by category, and scroll through all of them like that. They could use an interface improvement for sure. Wish I could see all of the personalized sub-genres they come up with based on viewing and rating history, some of them are really...
Not only this, and the clock for clock mentioned later, but don't AMD cards get a pretty much free boost to AA from their MSAA option? I often wonder why this is not mentioned or taken into consideration in more of these reviews. This should be applied to the highest playable settings where it...
Raw processing power. They have more than twice as meany stream processors running at faster clock speeds, memory is faster (gddr5 vs gddr3) and on wider buses, and they have the associated compliment of upgraded components to handle the extra oomph.
I wouldn't give up on them quite yet. They just rehired their old chip designer that put them out ahead of Intel when they were. Steamroller should be pretty good, and even if they don't try to outperform Intel's biggest and baddest, they'll still need good cores for their APU's, which means...
Phenom II X4 965BE can be had new for $85 these days. Pretty good value, saves $35 over a 6100. Won't be too much of a bottleneck compared to a 6100 either, probably even faster in a few things. The 1600 ram is worth it too.
Since HD 8000 was delayed to clear HD 7000 stock and not for technical reasons, and since Malta is an island in the Mediterranean Sea in the northern hemisphere, and since this card is a dual-Malta card, this should be by all reasoning a Sea Islands/HD 8000 part dressed down as an HD 7000 like...
I just extend my desktop and set potplayer to always load to last screen size/position. This way I can put it on my tv and it always loads up full screen there. All the settings I've mentioned are from within PotPlayer itself except for extend desktop, btw. I've not seen a guide for this...
The easiest solution I've found to this sort of thing is to use two separate media players and to keep one on each monitor. I use PotPlayer on the tv and manually set the audio renderer to the DirectSound HDMI audio renderer so that it always pulls from the HDMI instead of the main audio...
Surprised that nobody has said anything about the opportunity cost that the Nvidia guy kept stressing. As in:
"We're building a whole bunch of stuff," continued Tamasi, "and we had to look at console business as an opportunity cost. If we say, did a console, what other piece of our business...
