Here is mine. For better airflow I use a harddrive cage from another Lian Li chassis. (Specs in my signature)
Not final wiring yet, just for a testrun
3x 120mm Scythe fans and on top a Lian Li 140mm
The final build with GTX580, sorry for the perspective

I was tempted to upgrade because Sandy Bridge clearly is such a great chip, but on second thought I realize that when gaming on 1920x1200, the gain in speed is very small compared to my Core I7. Sandy Bridge draws less power though, but OTH my graphics cards are very power hungry, so my system...
Yes, there are front filters. The enclosed fans were not particularly effective, so I replaced mine with Scythe fans. The all-metal case feels a bit thin, but works fine, isolating noise well. As I only use 2 harddrives, I removed the large harddrive cage with a smaller one, placed just in front...
I've just finished my build of a Lian Li PC-X900B.
You all know the differences to the X1000, but one important thing not mentioned in this thread is that the sides of X900 are reinforced, and so they are no longer flimsy (my main complaint of the X1000). Btw I run the 24-pin cable inside the...
You connected the cards with the SLI-connector?
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/nvidia_sli_connector.jpg
If yes, try another one. That's the only logical reason for them not to work. Windows will load the correct drivers for SLI automatically.
I did some comparisons too, using my FT02 chassis:
Idle
I got the same idle temps for both cards, 39-40C. The fan ran 200rpm slower than the Gainward GTX480, and 400 rpm slower compared to Zotac GTX480. So no difference in temps, but a slightly lower fan speed on idle. Fan speed on GTX580...
In my house we have 4 stationary computers and 2 laptops. I bought a GTX580 today, knowing that any upgrade on the family top of the line computer (mine :D) also will be an upgrade for the next computer in line, as parts are changed between them.
My kids are always happy to get a better card...
The "RAM-problem" is embarrasing for Corsair. Noctua NH-D14 has the same problem. That's the reason why I had to mount a Corsair H70 instead.
These guys used a ASUS mobo and got the same problem with the NH-D14. Halfway in the build they had to dismantle and switch to a Noctua NH-D12 ;)...
The back plate behind the mobo has a dent a few inches up. There is the best place to fix the 24 pin and other thick cables. I see some put the wiring for graphic cards in the back as well, but I find it easier to run them in the front (between front panel and bottom fans).
I really fell in...
One more vote for FT02. Cable management is easy , airflow is superb, finish and details are top quality. Top 120mm fan is a bit loud, but is easily exchanged. I run a H70 with Scythe Gentle Typhoons idling at 900rpm.
Concerning the hard drive temps: I just remembered the tip in this thread to place an additional 120mm fan on top of the harddrives (blowing upwards). This reduced the temps to 33-34 C :)

Antec P183
Antec 902
Fractal Design R3
Silverstone Fortress FT02
Right now I am using 2 R3:s and a FT02. The FT02 is dedicated to flight simming, one R3 is for general gaming and the other R3 is for work. Wife is happy with an Antec 300 equipped with ny old Q9550. Feel...
I just finished my new FT02 with red interior (#633 ;)).
Hard drive holders were much better than the flimsy ones on my old FT01. Cooling is great and finish and details are top quality. I use 4 hard drives, leaving the first slot open. I notice a great temp difference, as the first drive...
