    I tried both kind of rubbing alcohol (isopropyl and ethyl), but neither worked. And I'm not quite prepared to strip off the coating like the rest of that thread suggested. I guess my scratch is deeper than his was.

    Due to a series of events I'd rather not get into a scratch now lives on the screen of my LCD computer monitor. Right in the middle, too. The scratch is only noticeable when the screen is bright, but as the intarwebs largely consist of white backgrounds the blemish is rapidly starting to drive...

    I've seen people use tinting kits on their case windows, then cut out a small pattern and shine lights through. I always liked that effect. Or just get a different case; that is what I ended up doing.

    I saw this thread last year and was inspired to update my stuff a bit. Also, I have just discovered that my Droid X's camera sucks. And DB: don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. Sorry, I had to. But seriously, that is awesome.
