I had the same problem on my dell have you tried the CustomModeApp.exe. in the drivers folder and creating a custom resolution of 2048x1536 this is what worked for me.
Noticed that there are some games missing from that list.

I had the same problem using a 9600gt sli setup,I fixed this by updating my drivers and using a custom resolution of 3840x2160 30hz in the Nvidia control panel. Hope this helps.
