hey folks. i have seen this issue with Antec cases that use the moulded front panel connectors.
From my testing its a grounding issue with the other front panel devices. To confirm this, try disconnecting the other USB/FW on the front panel from the motherboard so only the audio component is...
here's piccy for you.
as for the warranty sticker, there are similar stories to yours over at Silent PC Review forums.
i dont think its any cause tfor concern. my guess is they may have tried to repair a bunch of PSU's but didnt fix the warranty sticker.
From the information i have...
yeah no one ever gave an answer when i asked the pointed question of suppliers, "what exactly is wrong with the NEOHE's that people are having trouble with?" Mostly coz they were being treated like mushrooms also. (kept in the dark and fed shit, just like us :p )
But I do remember hearing...
Sorry folks, its printed to the left of the actual barcode on the barcode sticker on the PSU itself. The only way you can find out is by looking inside the box. But that said all the stock now shipping SHOULD be 'A3' unless some places havent turned over their old stock. (which we have done...
MY NEOHE WOES ARE OVER!
Just thought id let you guys know how my replacement went.
NO crashes at all, ever, since i been using my 'A3' revision NeoHE that i had been testing on the bench at work for 2days. I have since been using it at home and both XP 32bit and 64bit are rock solid...
Just an update.
The Antec distributors here in Australia have been VERY slow to respond to my support requests and Antec US even closed my support ticket before i could even get an RMA from any one!
It wasnt till i started to throw my weight around and getting cranky that i got a response...
just checked on mine, the only grey wire there. 4.91 volts. the finest change my digital multimeter can measure is .01 volts. the lowest measured on that pin was 4.90v. I would say it was steady.
From what my mulimeter shows and what speedfan shows, (unless it because the resolution on my...
I found a poll on the NeoHE's in an effort to collect peoples experiences with the PSU.
The results are obviously gonna be skewed towards the negative i guess, because whos gonna go looking for info on reported problems on thier PSU if their not already having issues.... :D
anyways...
i whipped out my multimeter today to see what my PSU is REALLY putting out in terms of volts. Unfortunately my multimeter cant measure amps above 10A so i cant varify that part.
What i can say is that from testing the 12v, 5v, and 3.3v rails is that they are rock solid which was quite a...
crusher, i guess that answers my question! this sucks. what a waste of money. i work in a PC store bought my NeoHE pretty soon after it came out coz all the other Antecs we sold have been absolutely trouble free, and was recommending the new NeoHE to customers coz of the modular cabling and...
i spoke too soon. it started crashing repeatedly on me yesterday. It was the first opportunity i had to really play a few games. COD2 didnt crash in the 1/2 hour i was playing it but NFSMW crashed will on the pause sceen in game. oh well. oh and x64 still sucks.
32 bit windows is stable...
Update to the latest BIOS, 1009 thats seems to have made things A LOT better for me. It hasnt crashed once (yet) in 32-bit Windows. Except for Windows x64. Not sure why that is tho..any ideas folks?
unfortunately for me i can confirm the problem exists with the ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo and the Antec NeoHE 500 too. :(
I have spent almost 2 weeks trying to resolve this issue with my setup (without suspecting the PSU) till i found this thread.
To make matters worse, i jsut got off the...
