I don't think the silver bezel is distracting at all, and it really gives the 2707 a nice classy look. I love my 2707! It's by far the best computer related purchase I have ever made.
Whatever display you get, I would highly recommend that you run run it at its native resolution. All fixed pixel displays look best this way. If the native resolution on the 30" displays is going to make everything appear too small for you tastes, you should get a lower resolution display. In...
I want to hook my PC up to my Dell 2707. Unfortunately, the only cable that I have which is long enough is a dual link cable. I know my video card can handle this type of cable, but I'm not sure about the 2707.
Unless you have the ability to host the images yourself, your best bet is to go with one of the free image hosting services such as ImageShack.

For your plasma, you may want to consider having an ISF certified technician come out and professionally calibrate it. They can use special service menus built into the set that aren't accessible by the consumer.
My office is very quiet, and I can't hear any hum coming from the 2707 whatsoever. The only noise it makes is an occasional cracking sound which I believe is caused by heat expansion. Many other electronic components in my home produce this same exact sound from time to time, so I'm guessing...
I don't know about this forum, but I know for a fact that there are trolls on some of the other forums I visit whose sole purpose in life is to bash competitor's products. Some of them are blaringly obvious, while others at least make an effort to hide their identities.
