Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This is probably an ovious answer, but millitary is one of the best sources to get experience, and have a guaranteed job waiting for you if choose to get out after your first enlistmnet. I dont have a college degree, but make an extremely good living, all thanks to my millitary experience...
I have comcast, and their tech support is absolutely worthless, If I have an outage, I call and ask if there is a "Known" outage or issue in my area, 9/10 times they will admit that there is, and I just wait for it to get resolved.
The 10th time, I will wait an hour or two, reboot my router...
67.xxx.xxx.xxx is a valid public IP, as other already mentioned they maybe blocking common server portslike 80,21,110 etc...
I have comcast and run a website on port 80 with no issues. So not sure why you are having the problem you are having, unless you configured a ACL on you router to block.
If you are a newb to technical why do you need or want a high end enthusiasts mobo? I think a solid board like the p6t will suit you just fine for half the cost of classified board.
Has anyone ever audited Switches and Routers, specifically cisco brand. What tool did you use? I'm looking for a nessus equavelent for network hardware.
Yeah the two suggestions above still wont solve the problem of an Admin who is authorized to have have access screwing up a config or fat fingering a setting.
Bottom line to me, you need to establish a change management/control process, part of it is procedural and part of it will be a...
Signature corruption is rare but it happens, and you are right about malware, but please do not lecture me on small companies not affording a sandbox, you dont need to spend a lot of money to have a test server and WS to test an update, I'd go as far as to say companies cannot afford not to...
My first 1/2 of my career was 50-60 hours week on average, once I left service work and focused on project work my hours stabilized at 40, I can count on one hand how many weeks I worked more the 40 hours in the last 5 years.
Than again I no longer contract, and there are rarely Auditing...
Dont know what to tell ya we have over 27000 servers and 180000WSs, and in 10 years of running Norton AV we have never deployed a Signature update that got corrupt. It has happened in testing, but thats why our AV Team tests things before they roll them into production.
So I question change...
CAT6 is the recommended cable for Gig, but most use CAT5e, myself including, Gig is a theoritical limit that 99.99% of PCs and Servers will never reach. I run Gig on home LAN and I max at 180-200mb and thats on a 8 drive hardware RAID 5 and my gaming PC running 10k RPM drives.
Most home users...
Hate to say it, but for large enterprises Norton Corporate is still good, but my personal preference is KIS 2009. But from cost and ease of managing 220k nodes, Norton is hard to replace. That said Norton is one of the slowest to update their signatures, ENOD, AVG, Trend, Karp all do it much faster.
I started in IT 22 years ago and mostly switched between Network and System Admin jobs the first 7 years or so, than I moved on to more challenging roles like Design, Architecture, and now I'm a System Auditor (Ethical Hacker). I've done security for the last 10 years and really enjoy this...
I recently switched to vista and bought two additional 1gb memory sticks, exact same make and model as my first two sticks. The info in my sig for my system is correct.
I noticed right away after putting in the new sticks, that my system became unstable and crashed every 20-40 minutes. I of...
Does anyone with EVGA 680i mobo know if we have a similar setting in bios, I could not find it. As an update I started to have stability issues with all 4 1gb sticks in my mobo. I ruled out a bad stick, and found out it was the timings, even though my memory is rated for 4-4-4-12, with 4gb I had...
