Figured it out. To get to the secret menu:
Hit "Menu" and "+" while turning on the screen. Then, when the screen is on, press "-"
This lets you check lamp hours, adjust RGB values, etc.
Hello,
Just got a used 5 month old Dell 3008WFP, and it is definitely a lovely screen. I was wondering though, do other people get a clicking noise which sounds like thermal expansion of the case in the first few minutes of the monitor warming up / cooling down? It's not a huge deal, but I...
An update. My friend got a 3008wfp, and I tried it on my arm. It works, but there a few things you need to do.
1. Tighten the tension for the arm portion so the monitor does not sag under its own weight. 2. Tighten the screw on the bottom side of the arm right near the springs so that the...
Just applied the update too. Can't tell a difference, but I wasn't bothered by the screen even before the update. Running Adobe RGB
What exactly does "dithering" look like ?
Yeah, sad part is that almost noone uses it. It is just sitting in the back of the room, and they would have had just as much use if they paid $1000 for a standard screen as however much they paid for this behemoth.
Hello,
I was in one of the labs at my school the other day and saw a ridiculous monitor with resolution of at least 4k by 2k. It was hooked up to a Nvidia Quadro unit and I think it was made by NEC. I have since been searching for what model this might be. I am sure I cannot afford it, but I...
I currently own an Ergotron LX arm for a Dell U2410 24" screen and it works perfectly! I am thinking of upgrading my LCD to a Dell 3008WFP (23.5lbs). I know the max of the Ergotron LX is 20lbs, but do you think it could work fine with a 23.5lb screen?
Anyone try this?
Thanks!
Shawn
Yeah,
I am no expert, but I had it next to my Dell U2410 for 2 days, and aside from worse viewing angles, straight on they looked about the same to me. Both were uncalibrated and I was not doing anything that required color fidelity, but for the average consumer, it should be great.
Pros...
Yep, no 1:1 mode, which is a deal breaker for me. I'm keeping my Dell U2410's, even though they cannot tile two pages (960px each) as well as the Samsungs (1024px each).
Bought one at Frys and hooked it up. It does work with an HDMI to DVI converter cable, but since 1920 x 1080 is stretched to 2048 x 1152, things are a bit fuzzy.
