Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've got one- no AG coating under the glass that I can detect. Works fine although periodically I have to switch it to alternative DVI operational mode (ATI Catalyst) to get rid of green blockness which I suspect is more an issue with the video card than the monitor. Mine had no bad pixels...
Of course it goes down right after I buy... Warning, there are issues with the card esp with BF3- check forums for BSOD issues. Also, reviews on Newegg are being edited/witheld so I wouldn't go by the reviews there- the newegg of old seems to be gone..
I have been looking at 30" monitors- is there a reason (beyond being new) to grab one of the 3011 models over the HP 3065, Dell 3007, etc? I am not able to see any of these in person and reviews of the same don't seem to provide much beyond the obvious as far as the differences. I believe they...
This- loved 1942, Vietnam and Bf2- even really liked BFBC2. BF3 I've left unplayed after a few weeks. Maps suck, dynamics suck, it's just not fun. Completely ruined the franchise- BF was really the only game I played. Good news- lots of free time now and I won't even consider buying BF4...
If you can wait a few weeks I would suggested the ODAC (http://nwavguy.blogspot.com/) which is essentially a VERY high quality USB soundcard will come out for right around $100. The performance of this is supposed to be along the lines of the very finest audio equipment- 24 bit encoding, 192khz...
I own one of these (not refurbished) and it's now sitting in the closet replaced by a Gigabyte. It was such a tremendous POS with arbitrary reboots, drives it would and wouldn't work with, a TERRIBLE layout (basically impossible to get SATA drives attached) and a BIOS which wouldn't work...
It is FAR AND AWAY the worst board I've ever encountered- the SATA ports are horizontal, stacked and pushed up to where the drive bays are so it's impossible to do anything with the board installed yet the cables get pushed out if try and put the board back in your case after having installed...
If you are using them for travel as well wouldn't you prefer buds since they block the noise (crying babies, jet engines, etc)? If you want another pair of open air then you might consider the Grado 60 or 80 as they are under $100 and sound great. If you are concerned about sound quality a Fiio...
My daughter has a Hannspree SN12 (under 300 from Newegg) which she hooks up to a 24" monitor and wireless keyboard when she's in her room. Best of both worlds.... I also added an external (powered) drive and she backs up all her stuff onto that.
The laptop is small enough so it doesn't weigh...
