    Have done my own research. Allowed to partition + align but not reccomended according to the ZFS best practises guide as it affects the use of the drives cache.

    Ive seen most of the time people just use the raw devices for zraid (i would assume that would mean its aligned naturally), if i put a GPT partition table on the disks and align it properly to 4k border, and set the ashift to the correct value is that all i need to do? Thanks
