Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Sounds like someone who is in denial and believes in vapor-ware. Biggest differences you detect with the naked eye are mfg related (uneven lighting from the back-light, bleeding in the edges, anti-glare coating) and whether it has an A-TW polarizer. If you made all those things equal, the...
Just thought some of you may be interested in this.... exclusive deal..... for registered users of the doublesight website. You actually don't have to be registered and these are some REALLY good deals on the monitors. You won't beat this price, anywhere, anyhow.
Oh and the $30 rebate is...
Correct, no OSD, no scaler. Works amazingly well for gaming and has actual backlight control instead of brightness (black level) control. My only real complain is the antiglare filter seems to be pretty noticeable, but oh well, nothing but the most anal of person would mention.
DoubleSight DS-305W, the tftcentral monitor was the Hazro HZ30W which looks identical to my DS-305W.
Yeah, I know professional players who use massive 3-4ft mouse pads and move their entire arm, and I know players who use a 1ft wide icemat and move only their wrist with small arm movements...
It's ok, Roach obviously can't handle the fact people are capable of playing games and finishing #1 while having a high resolution. I went to CSS competition in CPL 2 years in a row, I know how to shoot. I was playing 1600x1200 then, switching to 1680x1050 took me about 1-2weeks to adjust to...
MUHAHAHAHAHA.........:D I've gone from 1680x1050 to 2560x1600 and I pwn as much as I did at that res or more. Resolution shouldn't have a damn thing to do with how good you play unless A) You are a noob or B) You get shitty frames and also have input lag. Since I am neither A nor B, having...
A representative at DS said this in regards to whether my monitor is a polarizer version.
"You got the polarizer version all of the DS-263N and DS-265W have the exact same polarizer there is no such thing as a non-polarizer version."
And I was also told the price point on these will be...
I just turned the brightness down to a level where it didn't bother me much. At 50 it's definitely bright, but I think its fine for games. The only time I get bothered by the brightness is when viewing websites with white backgrounds.
I have no white glow off angle either on this monitor...
Just an FYI, I've removed references to this being an H-IPS screen in the review. I have seen many reports from users as to what H-IPS pixel substructure looks like vs S-IPS, however, I've seen no hard proof from the manufacturer (LG) themselves as to what H-IPS looks like up close. Until I am...
Yes exactly my thoughts. I've got the same setup for gaming and while I at first was hesitant because of the requirements of running 2560x1600, the 4870x2 has just been raping every game I throw at it. Gaming on a 30" monitor is a completely different beast and its great.
Yeah, imageshack doesn't keep it hosted for long. Here is a shot of the monitor with the flash on and hosted on tinypic. Sorry for the crap in the background, this house has too much shelving! :)
