Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Sorry for the multiple posts. Just got off the phone with Supermicro and they said that the motherboard I have is PCI-E 2.0 and that will severely slow down the 780 Lightning....how much truth is there to that? Thanks again fellas.
Cheers,
Thank you both again, I'm learning tons here. It's all still quite difficult to grasp.
I think I am leaning towards either a 680 GTX Lightning or going to be stubborn and get a Titan only IF I can find an open box model somewhere or something to save a bit.

No ramble at all, I enjoy the responses - they make for good reads.

Wow, thanks Dragon. I appreciate all that info, very well put and I learned a thing or two, or ten! My monitors aren't the best, so it's not like I can run them at crazy resolutions anyway (VH242H). At the end of the day, I'm looking to play BF4, GTA5, WoW, and SWTOR. But my goal has always been...
I totally agree about Windows. I don't HAVE to get an Nvidia either, definitely open to other cards. I've always been a server guy, so needless to say, I don't know much about graphics lol.
Yeah I'm looking to game on all 3. It's pretty much why I have them. I'm not TOO partial, but I do like me some Nvidia, however; I think I would go nuts waiting another month and a half with 3 monitors and only one of them working because of the onboard video card I'm stuck with LOL. Would a 680...
Just to be clear, your answer of "yes" was in reply to the question in the subject of the thread correct? Just making sure you weren't saying "yes" it will bottleneck.
Anyhow, thanks for the reply, much appreciated :) Now I just need to find one for a decent price - I'm assuming they're all in...
Hey guys,
Long story short, I have some server equipment here from a business of mine that tanked not too long ago :/ . Needless to say, I don't have the funds to purchase a gaming rig. I did, however, recently sell my laptop and I'm looking to put those funds into a high-end graphics card...
