Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yeah the OP might want to remove the # on the pic the HSF assembly, just to make it easier on his friend, although likely too late anyways as it's all over the net already. :o
Which should theoretically soften not increase the dips. The min and max numbers should display the absolute min and absolute maxes recorded, it's obviously missing many of them as this occured twice in the graph and obviously are part of the data points.
Statistically meaningless would be...
I have to ask again why the Apples - to - Apples comparison conclusions don't match what the empirical data is supposed to support?
I am more than familiar with the methods, but the conclusions seem contrary to the supporting data.
It seems this graph is either in error or the...
I think it's one step in the right direction, but I also prefered it more when there was less editorial content, which does seem to be there more to promote a difference than to actually look for the playability of the cards.
The problem with a review in [H]'s format is that it relies on...
Which is to say what?
That we test differently is more important than how we do it or whether it's internally or externally valid? No, that's not good enough.
Others did the 'playable' tests too, and it doesn't mean they are better or worse than anything else. Just another source of info...
I don't see why it must be an either or thing.
Theoretical throughputs are just as important in figuring out a card as the current playability in a handful of games chosen by a reviewer.
The biggest problem with [H]'s test is when they are internally invalid.
When after talking about...
Yeah but why would the 60fps line flow through 55 fps? If it's a graph that should be a function of your graphing software. The strange thing is it didn't occur on one of the test where it wouldn't have mattered, like the GTX or 3870.
Edit: Ok, well you noticed it now.
The point of using a...
Did you also notice the other interesting thing in the Apples to Apples section?
The GF8800GT is the only one to have the Green 'above 60' line to actually run through the 55fps mark.

My tone didn't change because of you, my tone changed in the previous posts because of the request to change the original post. You on the other hand still get things factually incorrect when the information is right there for everyone to see in their own hands, just like your 130nm Low-K R9800...
In this thread I agree, but I'm lowering myself to the level of the room. Just like Razor above.
Had this been an intellectual discussion from the start with thoughtful back and forth between author and his critics, I likely would've had a far briefer and far more respectful post.
However...
I didn't say the McF1 gets much more (and at that level 'much more is a relative term 4 vs 2 is more than the 240W versus 180W differences we're talking about for the G80 versus R600. So at the faster than McF1 250+ MPH the Buggatti is worse, and the figures quotes are in the low 2MPG, but...
Where are you getting our figures from? Even at it's best the Veyron doesn't get 16Mpg according to the gov, it avg is according to them 10MPG and 8City/15Hwy;
