    Exactly why I say it doesn't matter that it only has 128mb of ram :) The memory bandwidth is too restricting on 6600's to make 256mb worthwhile, and if anything you're likely to get worse overclocking results from it

    The speed point is fair enough, but I did really mean at equal speeds, my point was more about the impact of size on performance. And yes 4x FSAA does play much more smoothly on a 256mb card

    There isn't but it doesn't matter. At the performance levels of the 6600GT theres little to no gains to be had going with more than 128MB of memory, even a 6800GT shows little gain over say an unlocked 6800

    At present games are still fine with 1GB of ram, though BF2 does like more it will manage fine with just 1GB, but the 7800GTX will definately outperform the X850 so that option would be my suggestion

    In pretty much everything but HL2 the 6600GT is superior to the X700, and even in HL2 it's a close battle. Add in to that the fact pure video works on the 6600's and I'd say it's by far th better choice

    SilenX have no business being sold as quiet fans, at stock voltage they are at best average. running them on 5V does make them quieter but they stilla ren't great. the best fans for noise levels are Nexus or Yate Loom

    Enjoy, overclocked the 9600 is a very capable card even now, Farcry will probably need to be ran at 800x600 and doom3 640x480 but still playable and still looking good
