    Can you power your MOBO w/o CPU?

    Well, I say that because I have a 420 Watt PSU connected to it mounted in the case ( the MOBO ). The 4 pin and 20 pin is connected in ( I dont have a +4 connecter along w/ the 20 pin). I'm not really sure if the CPU is necessary or not, but the mobo isn't powering on. Is this usual or not?
