Anyone like to share their 3D Mark Fire Strike score

Mine are linked in this thread. Good resource to compare systems. I have 4 scores listed, with single and dual 580 lightning xtremes overclocked to 940/1880/2400. http://community.futuremark.com/forum/showthread.php?175827-FM-Members-3DMARK-Fire-Strike-List

ASUS Official X79 Motherboards Support Thread

Well unless Asus decided to put the wrong driver on the p9x79-ws download page for win7 x64 then yes, the correct driver was installed. (download named USB3_11430) UEFI 3401 dated 1/3/13 found the new firmware at station-drivers. So I loaded the firmware (which detected and installed on both...

ASUS Official X79 Motherboards Support Thread

So here is a new one. I downloaded the new asmedia driver update from asus off the p9x79-ws page and about 5 minutes after loading all 3 of the usb3.0 sockets (2 rear 1 front) die and show errors in device manager. Says the driver cannot be found (39). Can't fix by uninstalling and going to...

Is there any reason to go super high end motherboard, WITHOUT going 3/4 way SLI?

Usually they are built to workstation or server class specs, some carry better warranties, some have better power control for overclocking than others might, etc. So many options it's hard to say. I use the ASUS WS boards and love them, no issues and solid oc'ers. I have used tri sli in the...

    Extreme varying volume

Yes, quiet uses less power. Reference level (0db on the reciever) is attained at either 75db or 85db at your primary listening position depending on the test kit you use. You use 1w of power @ your speakers sensitivity for volume output @ 1m. You lose 6db for every 3' distance from the...

Multiple BSODs in games (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION,

Those errors all indicate either bad memory, an unstable memory OC or a bad memory controller. Double check your timings in your bios as well as your voltages and make sure you are set up correctly. The only memtest worth a shit is memtest86+ 4.20. Run it overnight. The other ones are junk.

    Extreme varying volume

Shows are recorded at different input levels, so they will all sound different. The same issue can be found with DVD and Bluray movies. Working as intended. The only thing you can really do to control volume would be to go into your AVR and adjust settings depending on source material (DTS vs...
