This one maybe, which you replied to: http://www.everexforum.com/forum/index.php?a=printer&t=5735 The referenced Sony 5540A looks like a standard slim drive though. These 5530's in these Everex's don't look like standard drives. You can't just pull them out and slap in a new one :(

Anyone replaced their dvd-rw? Mine no long reads discs, still lights up and spins up like it's trying to read but never actually reads them. Wondering what you all replaced it with since it doesn't look like a typical slim drive.
