An update. I ended up buying Dell U2713HM. The other option was HP Z27i which was $130 more expensive and Dell U2713H with about the same difference. I thought that the price difference for the Z27i was steep and 2713H will not work for me because I need sRGB monitor.
So far so good. Comparing...
Once again thank you so much. That model of HP can not be delivered via a reseller here and Eizo is not available at all. But tomorrow I will try asking for the possibility of having Viewsonic delivered to me.
I will keep everybody posted with my decision. Thank you so much.
Thank you. I will not be going off topic any more.
I will just end up saying that I made inquiry at a local seller and where I live Z27i can be had (ordered) for USD 760 while the u2713hm is USD 600.
Even u2713h is around USD 720 i.e. cheaper than the Z27i.
The Z30i can be ordered for around...
What about the HP Z30i monitor. Is there any cheaper but good sRGB 30" brand monitor that supports 1600p?
Also is Z27i better than its predecessor and u2713H because I can only find this monitor available to be shipped in my country?
Thank you.
Wonderful. Thank you for the education links.
The thing with the Dell is I can buy it from a local seller meaning that I can most probably see "the goods" before buying and also issues under warranty can be easily dealt with.
Unfortunately HP is not available locally and Benq is not...
Thank you.
Well I was thinking about buying Dell u2713hm at first but after seeing the difference in screen real estate between 27 and 30" I thought that it would be a better option.
Currently I am working on u2412m and going back to 16:9 feels like deterioration for me. Also going down...
Yes, this is why I was asking for other models/brands on this topic. I would like to buy LED monitor with sRGB coverage but it seems that none exist.
CCFL is a thing of the past but still for about $500 a 30 inch 1600p monitor is a good deal I believe.
I would like to have 30" 16:10 monitor...
I am looking to buy a Korean 30" sRGB monitor. I see here that First 301GD Live is as such. Can you please recommend other brands that do not come with wide gamut?
Thank you.
Currently I have Panasonic TC-L32S20E hooked up to my PC via HDMI (GTX 460). It sports IPS Alpha panel (10 bit deep color although I am not sure if it is native 10 bit or 8 bit panel with internal processing of 10 bit).
I am very pleased with the picture (sharpness 0, contrast highest in OSD...
Do not forget the price as a factor. I got this monitor (ViewSonic VX2739wm) for $ 250 from a local store since it is discontinued product I suppose. Please name one 27 incher (IPS) that comes even close to that price.
Some people like to do photo editing and web design. Others like to do some...
I have the previous model VX2739wm. It was standing besides Panasonic IPS Alpha (aka IPS pro) TV while I was calibrating it.
I think lately people got so overwhelmed with IPS monitors that they forgot to check for the latest improvements in the field of TN panels. If you read the review that...
I had the same dilemma. First I went with Panasonic 32 inch IPS Pro TV and used it on my computer. I had to get used to the brightness at first and than it was fine. The text is crisp and you can work with text and numbers on it comfortably.
However after couple of weeks I decided to buy a...
I am most happy with my ViewSonic VX2739wm. Gaming, surfing, watching movies and lots of Microsoft office work.
Since it is out of stock in most shops, for a very similar price you could check out the newer ViewSonic LED VX2753mh. The newer LED model does not come with the option of wall mount...
NCX, I forgot to mention that I am grateful for the test and the results. I had no idea that the quality control can give a pass to such a lousy unit like in your test.
What I meant by TFT Central results being more accurate is exactly that the backlight bleed is far better. But there is more...
I apologize for reviving an old topic but I had to comment the review.
I bought a Viewsonic VX2739vw recently and I must say that I was shocked by the results posted here.
It seems like Viewsonic made an upgrade to their 2739 line since than.
I can confirm that the backlight bleed is...
