Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Bah, I don't know why I never tried that. When you think about it, it's quite obvious. Why on Earth Logitech thinks the desktop and Windows Explorer are games escapes me, but my problem is solved. Thanks!
I've used an MX500 for probably 2 years now, and I've never really had a complaint with it, but lately I've noticed an oddity that I can only attribute to the drivers.
In most applications, the mouse behaves as expected. I use a rather high sensitivity setting and it really helps getting...
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 997DF and was really pleased with it until today. I've used it for about 13 days now and it's already got a dead pixel. I'm sure this is covered by warranty, but depending on how much trouble the warranty service is I may not claim it right away.
I'm working...
Holy smokes, guys! I just stuck 5 SilenX 14dba fans in this box and it is like a different machine! I'm watching the temp while running Folding@Home right now... it still seems to hover around 38 C, which is what I'm used to.
Now I have more questions, since I'm sure this case can still get...
If it's for the rig in your sig then you do have several choices. I have the same motherboard as you, and I am monitoring my temps using the utility that came with the board (Look on the driver CD, it's called CoreCell or something). Also, nTune seems to pick up my CPU temps as well. I don't...
Replacing the case and CPU fans are simple enough, I may fool with the 7v mod while I'm pooling the money for it all. I'd love to do 120mm fans, but my case only has clips for mounting and it doesn't appear to have screw mounts behind the clips, so I'm stuck with 80mm.
My only real concern...
I just built a PC with:
AMD 64 3000+
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI
1GB Mushkin RAM (2 x 512)
2 6600GT
1 WD Raptor 10K SATA
All of this is in an Antec Plusview1000AMG. Right now, I have 5 of the Antec clear fans in the case. I'm using the retail AMD HSF. I'm not bothered by the noise...
You know it's funny you say that, because after I made the post I thought about it. I told myself how silly it would be if the audio was disabled by default, but checked anyway. It was disabled in BIOS.
I really need to stop working on computers after not sleeping.
I'm no expert, but getting the drivers installed for this board was anything but straightforward. The nForce drivers installed fine, but nowhere in the documentation was it mentioned that the USB 2.0 drivers and Ethernet controller drivers were separate and not even in the folder the...
I posted two of them in this thread. I haven't used either one but they came straight from the sticky post at the top of the forum, so I figure they can't be that bad.
It's been a dream of mine to build a PC for some 6 years now, but I've always been foolish with my money and spent it on other things. Now I have all the parts assembled except the case, but this weekend I'm travelling home and picking up the case and I hope to have the dream realized...
I really hate asking such a stupid question here but I've been searching threads and looking at reviews online and there's just not much to go on.
I'm building a new PC, and I accidentally forgot to order a sound card. I'm not sure how the nForce4 does sound, but I have a feeling a sound...
