    I went from an 8800 GTS to a 5870, and the difference was like night and day. That's with a Q6600 at stock. You might not be maxing a new card to its full potential, but you'll certainly get large improvements.

    When is the last time you played Diablo 2? That game is slow as molasses until you have your high level skills with some significant synergies. Throughout most of normal difficulty you are stuck with single target abilities that you can't even spam due to mana limitations.
