Thanks treadstone, that's great news. I was hoping that would be the case as I don't want to move the terrabytes of stuff off (since i don't want to lose what's on there) and spend days re-setting everything up. Being new to SAS expanders though I thought it best to ask the people who know :)

Hey guys, just a quick question with the SAS expander. I currently have a highpoint RocketRAID 2680 with 8 HDDs connected via 2 x 8087 to 4 SATA cables. If I connect the 8087 cables to the SAS expander and connect the SAS expander to the rocketraid will I have to reinitialize everything (i.e...
