Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
How am
How am I on the wrong tab if in the end I am required to go to BOTH tabs to actually apply a single fricking profile change? OMG, this must be the single most convoluted setting in the entirety of Windows!
So just to be sure, is this what I should do?
0. Color Management -> Devices...
Well, I did set the russian profile as default. Now testing your gamma profile, it doesn't do anything either. I'm making sure I set it as default and then also "combine the settings".... :/
Shouldn't I be changing the actual profile here instead?
So I used that russian profile but maybe I'm doing something wrong because i did not notice any change after applying it? Please see attached pic to see if I'm doing it correctly? Or should I reboot the Pc for the profile to kick in?
I have both USB 2.0 and 3.0 in my PC. Running a 2.0 A-B cable into the monitor though. Both cold-booting and waking up the PC.
What do you mean the problem might not be with the monitor?? The USB hub in it just died - I tested it with a different PC and the hub was dead when connected there...
Today I received a replacement unit from the vendor. The bleeding in the corners is still there, although somewhat less glaring (pun intended) than on the previous unit. It's perfectly bearable to be honest. Hopefully the USB hub lasts longer too. :)
OK, so this morning I woke up to the USB hub on the monitor being dead. Windows cannot recognize the hub device and says it malfunctioned.
Off to RMA this goes, along with the bleeding problem. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Hi OP,
how is the bleeding on your 3270QP? I just bought mine and though it's an amazing monitor (coming from a 27" 1920x1200 Samsung SyncMaster), the bleeding in all four corners is atrocious. :(
I'm thinking about returning this to the store and maybe another piece will be better...
Update: the noise is only present when the CPU is in low-power state.
If I do this (as per a tomshardware thread I found on this issue):
1. Execute: "regedit"
2 .Locate: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Power \ PowerSettings \...
So my Gigabyte P55a-UD4 (with an i5 CPU) has died and I've got it replaced with a P55-UD3R, upgrading to an i7 CPU along the way. I did not reinstall the OS as I would lose too many settings accumulated over the years, and it wasn't even necessary - the previous OS booted fine on the new mobo...
