Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm a noob and don't understand most of the jargon and acronyms on this thread. I'm looking for a media player that will accept video from a capture device whose output is USB 2. The TV video source is the tuner in a Panasonic DVD/VHS player. The capture program I use provides a video screen...
I guess this is a noob question but I'm stumped. How do I determine the currently installed driver version of my nForce 4 chipset? I want to be sure before flashing the BIOS to the latest ver.
Mobo= Asus A8N-E
OS= WinXP Pro

As I posted in the original thread last fall, I've got the NeoHe 550 that must be the original model and it has run every day all day since last October with an Asus A8N SLI premium with nary a blip. I guess this may not necessarily be a direct answer to your querry, but I thought...

I wouldn't be so quick to condemn this combo. There are probably many people like me with this combination of mobo and PS that have had no problems whatever. You just woun't hear about them because they don't have a problem to post. My system has been up and running for a month...
Finally got a reply from ViewSonic tech support. The freeze problem is probably due to a conflict with other rotation software that is already installed - perhaps an nVidia utility. Haven't checked this out yet.
Also, PerfectSuite installs ONLY on the C: drive. Nice.
Thanks Albert---
I'm a little slow; I should have played around with the OSD menu some more. Nothing for it now but to reinstall the software and hope for the best.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of or modify the position/transparency of the blue connection notification rectangle that appears every time I do anything involving the monitor? It's pretty irritating since I'm not in the habit of changing the input every few minutes - I can usually remember...
My 930 came with one DVI and two d-sub (analog) cables.
I love my mon, but I had a big problem with lockup after installing the Perfect Suite software that came with it. Had to uninstall it (safe mode) and then hack the msconfig startup section to eliminate a corrupted entry.
I've been following this thread since the beginning and with misgivings ordered the infamous duo (see sig) early this month anyhow because I really liked the specs and reviews. For what it's worth, so far I haven't experienced any problem with spontaneous shutdowns, or any other problems for...
Hi zoinks---
No, I was refering to the four pins on the system panel header (20 pin, extreme lower right on the mobo) that are labeled "Speaker" and are identified in the manual as being for the "chassis-mounted system warning speaker". There's a mic input on the front panel audio header...
Thanks Caspanis---
POST Reporter works as advertised thru the line out jack. I had assumed that post reporting came thru the speaker pins on the mobo since when starting up with a new system it seems best to do first boot with nothing but the bare essentials connected - i.e., nothing connected...
My Antec P160 case doesn't come with a chassis speaker. Can anyone tell me what size speaker (1", 2", bigger?) the A8N-SLI Premium needs to produce the POST Reporter messages intelligibly? I assume the required impedence would be 8 ohms, but maybe not. Also, of the four pins for the speaker...
