Hey guys,
Did a search over the web and [H] for this and couldn't find anything on the issue, but I'm having a recent problem with my mobo. It's (like the thread title says) a biostar mobo and has been functioning perfectly except for the past week. Lately when I start it up I don't even get...
So the i7s and i5s, even if u models, have the additional step? Now is that just turbo or is that something that it will maintain?
Wow, I don't know how I missed that one. :D But I'll try your suggestions and cross my fingers.
PS if I crank the graphics up to a point where the gpu needs to...
I didn't even know a 6.00 version came out of throttlestop I was under the impression the latest was 5.00. I also noticed your name on some of the throttlestop message boards so I'm glad you decided to help me out.
There's my TRL and TPL subsections, where do you think I go from here...
So the throttling doesn't seem to be related to the temperatures at all. That was my first inclination as I know that's usually how throttling works (long time desktop ocer).
But the clocks on the iGPU seem to be related to load.
So in testing this out I turned all of the settings in a game...
Hey guys,
So I've got a laptop with a i3 Ivy Bridge. This seems like a question that's all over the internet with no answers to, so as usual when I can't find the right answer anywhere I come to [H].
I've got a laptop that I play casual games on (dota 2) equipped with an i3-3227u. Intel...
Yeah, I figured the same thing at first because its an older VGA flatpanel.
Another thing I noticed, when I boot windows up and I'm at the account log in screen. The monitor powers up then both monitors flash to black, then the secondary turns off and the primary stays on. Weird eh?
I...
I've done a little research and can't seem to find an answer to this question.
I've got a rig that runs a HD7850 and I use the hd4000 on the mobo to run a second monitor.
Up until yesterday this ran great. I could extend the desktop onto the second monitor and run programs simultaneously,a...
Yeah, I'm super interested in this as well. Would be an awesome travel companion and work/school computer. I wonder how often people will use it just with the tablet part as compared to the tablet with keyboard. At that point I wonder if its just worth it to buy a more powerful touchscreen laptop.
Every time you take that heatsink off you have to reapply TIM otherwise you'll get air bubbles in between. And also to me it looks like the guy who applied it used a little too much. Too much is a bad thing, you want just the right amount.
Way too much thermal paste, like wow. That would definitely be detrimental to your temps, but boosting it up so high as to cause a shut down? I'm not sure about that. Other than that I don't have the foggiest idea what could be causing your issue.
Is there a chance you can get in contact with...
Dude it looks like you already did the deed, however if you're looking for something black that you can always peel off if you don't like it?
Plasti-dip! Stuff works wonders and you can literally paint anything with it. Car wheels is what it's used mostly for but it was made for anything...
Maybe it's just me then, my 212 Evo seems to suck. Remounted a hundred times (trying different tim brands each time) and temps in the low 80s using burn test seems unacceptable. The AIO water I had barely topped out in the low 70s, and that was a cheap AIO.
My understanding is that with most of those AIO water coolers (cosair, zalman, thermaltake) is that they're manufactured by Asetek for various companies. If you look at the cpu blocks and the mounting hardware they all look practically the same (check out newegg for some higher res pictures of...
I understand what you're saying. I don't fully understand why people recommend air cooling though. A lot of these lower end AIO liquid solutions are in the $30-40 range pretty regularly (both the LQ310 and Seidon 120m) and seem to provide 10C cooler for almost the same prices as say the Hyper 212
