Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have one and have used it. They work wonderfully for around $15 shipped. Gets the job done (and much cheaper than buying a new PSU). If you find a good deal on a gold or platinum rated PSU, this works well too!
Has anyone made or has thought of making a custom LiveCD or install image for each (or any) of the common configs?
I didn't see any mention of a live cd or custom install when I did a search. I think it may save lots of work/tweaking/headaches for ppl.
I see that it can be done...
Pick up this stuff:
Samsung Electronics Extreme Low Voltage 30nm UDIMM 4 Dual Channel Kit DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM MV-3V2G3D/US
Great write-ups on it (mostly on Intel systems, but should be great on AMD too):

If they're less expensive per stick, I have no problem with purchasing them. I'm making my decision based on speed and overall price for the combination of fastest speeds with lowest latency. I see lower latency (CAS 7) 2 GB sticks while 4GB sticks have CAS 9 and both are priced around $20 per...
I'll be purchasing at least 3 (if not 4) sticks total, so I should be fine for running triple channel. I don't mind purchasing 4GB sticks, but I don't really need them, so I'll likely stick with the 2GB sticks and save a few $$. In the rig that I'll build in the future, I'm going to use 4x 1GB...
I'm looking for some memory that will be able to clock at least to 1600 (hopefully higher), but will also have the lowest latency possible at 1600 &/or 1333. I currently have an intel i7 930 @ 3.8 GHz with a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard and 3x 2GB of GeIL 1333 (9-9-9-24, iirc) @ 1033 or...
Well, power draw looks about equal or slightly more, the prices of the chips (new) are great ($540 for 6272 vs. $1020 for 6172 new on the egg, much less for used 6172s on feeBay). For those of us considering the new chips, either would likely be a good choice. In the months of time that will...
a combo of solar & wind along with batteries &/or grid tying would likely work well. If you're really brave and have some time, do everything DYI. A solar panel can be made for pretty little with DYI and wind can be done the same. lots of testing and stuff, but it'd be worth it if you could...
I understand that folding is demanding and intend to do at least 20 runs of LinX & an hour or more of prime 95 before I attempt folding big adv units again.
Things are going well. No errors on LinX or Prime95 (when run). Going through last step of this OC guide. It is working very well. I'm shooting for an OC of 4+ GHz, but it seems as temps may keep me from hitting it. So far, so good.
